N226NW (cn 46583/292) Is departing with heavy condensation heading for San Francisco as NW28 from Tokyo Narita. I was so fascinated to hear the weather was expected to be heavy rain on that day because I was almost ready to take the identical scene for DC-10 that I took last July. Moreover, at this time, we can see the thin trails from both of the horizontal stabilizers. I really appreciated to see not only that I could encounter almost exactly the same situation but also that my wife took this scene right next to me. |

F-GLZS (cn 310) Last summer was a big season for Air France at LAX. With up to 5 opportunities to catch an AF aircraft any given day, the carrier's presence in LA yielded plenty of photo opportunities for spotters. On this day, the A340-300 pictured here arriving from Papeete was AF number 3 of 5, only to be followed by a third CDG arrival and the evening LHR arrival. With the Heathrow service axed and effects of global recession, it's unlikely spotters will be treated to such a phenomenon again soon. [Canon 40D] |
