B-HOR (cn 24631/771) Double treat: I have seen many F16s, F15s do side by side landing but this was unusual. MX A320 descended on glideslope from 3500 AGL for Rwy 24R while CX 744 did same from 2200 AGL for Left side. Cathay 744 was told to hold 170 kts steady so MX can land just a bit ahead. And the result was perfect approach with spectacular results. |

9V-SFD (cn 26553/1069) Ah summer! It’s just a few months away and with it brings some good lighting conditions for the north side of the field. As the sun sets high in the northern latitudes it illuminates landing aircraft from late afternoon to dusk. Here we see “Sing Cargo” cross just to the south of the In-N-Out on her way down to runway 24R. Clear blue skies and palm trees adorn the magnificent 74 freighter ,with the queue for In-N Out take out stretching back around the building and heading west. Local time is now 17:08PDT |
