92-9000 (cn 23825/685) I was testing my new camera when a guy say "The President is coming". And 1 hour later the Airforce One shows up. What a way to test a camera!! :-) |

VH-OQJ (cn 062) The world's first dual A380 flyover happened today in Sydney. Flying in close formation, this occasion marked the official start of a historic partnership between Qantas Airways and Emirates. The flyover was done under a special call sign "Seismic", as Tim Clark says the EK-QF partnership had caused seismic shift in the global aviation. Interestingly, Delta-Yankee disappeared from the radar after takeoff - was the TCAS system switched off? I quite like how the two prominent tails aligns one another. |

D-ABYD (cn 37829/1453) The majority of the day, there was a 20-30Kt crosswind so all the planes were landing on 30. But about 45 minutes before the heavies started to line up, a UA 767 attempted to land on 01R and did some successfully. Following the UA 767 was a CRJ-200 which attempted to do the same, but it struggled the whole way down and we were all hoping tower would switch back to 30, but they never did. |

PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) The "City of Guayaquil" is seen a hundred feet above the world famous Maho Beach and the sparkling clear waters of Sunset Bay chasing its shadow to the runway. This place takes photography to a whole new level when you can literally go for a swim or sip on a bottle of Carib while waiting for an aircraft. It's quite obvious that I was not the only one with a camera around here, but this young woman certainly appreciated being part of the photograph more than I would have. |
