N122UA / 8122 (cn 29168/1218) In terms of orders and operators the 747-400 is rapidly becoming yesterdays airplane, I am very thankful that here in Sydney we still have a handful of operators and when one glides over Botany Bay 1000ft below you on a perfect spring morning it still looks as good as ever (Nikon D3)

Qantas
Airbus A380-842
Off-Airport - Sydney
Australia - New South Wales, March 31, 2013
Remark
Photographer
VH-OQJ (cn 062) The world's first dual A380 flyover happened today in Sydney. Flying in close formation, this occasion marked the official start of a historic partnership between Qantas Airways and Emirates. The flyover was done under a special call sign "Seismic", as Tim Clark says the EK-QF partnership had caused seismic shift in the global aviation. Interestingly, Delta-Yankee disappeared from the radar after takeoff - was the TCAS system switched off? I quite like how the two prominent tails aligns one another.

Boeing 747-830
Washington - Dulles International (IAD / KIAD)
USA - Virginia, December 22, 2012
Remark
Photographer
D-ABYD (cn 37829/1453) The majority of the day, there was a 20-30Kt crosswind so all the planes were landing on 30. But about 45 minutes before the heavies started to line up, a UA 767 attempted to land on 01R and did some successfully. Following the UA 767 was a CRJ-200 which attempted to do the same, but it struggled the whole way down and we were all hoping tower would switch back to 30, but they never did.
