I used a 10" Telescope, f= 1300mm and a Canon EOS 300D, 100 ASA, 1/1600s. I have a sereies of contrails in front of the sun after the plane transit. |

This was a spectacular storm and I only went out to shoot pictures after about 30 minutes of nearly continuous lightening. Really a treat to watch, but not very conducive to a smooth operation. If anyone wonders why the ramp closes when lightening is in the area this should be explanation enough. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence but this storm produced hundreds of strikes within the fence, according to the detector equip. |

As the lake is completely frozen during winter, the owner put his lovely airplane onto the lakeside which gave me this unique perspective. Low winter sun is rising just behind the airplane whereas the snow helps the shadow to brighten up. This is a full 12mm view which I think it is something interesting to show. Bright yellow color of this airplane gives this image a final touch. |

That's Siberia ! We fly westbound to Europe, 68 degrees north latitude, 1 p.m. local time. One of few southbound flights in the area, originating from the polar region, crosses our route perpendicularly, 20 miles ahead of us, 1.000 meters below. Interesting weather over Malmö/Sturup airport. The extensive cloud in the background is a Cumulonimbus. During the winter these clouds are made mostly of icecrystals. The halophenomena seen in the upper right part of the cloud is due to light breaking in the crystals. I don't think a single aircraft is parked at the gates. |

HS-TAB (cn 371) On my way from BKK to SIN on TG421. While cruising off the coast of southern Thailand and northern Malaysia, we passed quite a few of these lighting storms, while I was enjoying my supper of Thai chicken curry. I was pretty lucky to finally catch one of the many lighting flashes inside these dark ominous clouds, as the last light of the day illuminates the western skies. Also somehow lucky to get the wing strobe to flash at the same time, talk about luck! |

Taken just after sunset on extremely clear night after a recent Santa Ana wind. High cirrus clouds give a nice halo effect to the full moon. A 737's light contrails can be seen during it's landing on this long exposure. American Eagle RJ is next to go to SJC and a UAL 737 will be departing shortly to SFO. |

I've been holding on to this one for a while but it is probably my favorite of all my aviation photos. 35 second exposure as Frontier departs runway 1 and climbs over the docks as evident by the red nav light, the strobe, beacon, and the landing lights streaking through the frame. In the background you can see some Andrews AFB traffic on the left, and to the right, a little standing lenticular cloud is beginning to form. |

A6-EBB (cn 32789/508) All i have to say is WOW! The new Boeing 777-300 ER is a fantastic aircraft to fly. This aircraft flew me BKK-SYD and it was just amazing, not only was i on a new aircraft but i got the double upgrade to F! Pics to come soon. This shot was taken as the cabin crew woke the economy cabin for breakfast. The aircraft has a lighting cycle that simulates the sunrise with lights rising in the same color a sunset would be!
