Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Farnborough (FAB / EGLF)
UK - England, July 14, 2014
Remark
Photographer
N789EX (cn 41988/126) The 787's later display slot meant it missed the bluer skies enjoyed by the Airbus displays. However, it looks stunning here with the light catching it against the grey clouds.

USA - Air Force
Boeing B-52G Stratofortress
Rome - Griffiss Airpark (AFB) (RME / KRME)
USA - New York, September 17, 1986
Remark
Photographer
59-2567 (cn 464330) Aluminum Overcast... The sun shines brightly on the weathered flanks of this BUFF as it passes low overhead on take off. Like many other 416th BW B-52s I saw that year, this one's surface is a patchwork of the old SIOP camouflage and dark replacement parts painted in the new "strategic scheme". The "shouldered" look to the forward wingroot is the so-called strake; a structural modification (and visible to satellites) indicative of the cruise missile mod. The 416th was the first USAF unit so-equipped.

Air Canada
Boeing 777-233/LR
Toronto - Lester B. Pearson International (Malton) (YYZ / CYYZ)
Canada - Ontario, June 15, 2014
Remark
Photographer
C-FIVK / 704 (cn 35245/689) Air Canada 088 is coming back Toronto from Shanghai, on its final approach towards Runway 23. The passenger on seat 2K seems quite interested in landing scene. For today's trip from Shanghai Pudong to Toronto Pearson, this bird has flown 7500+ statute miles, and no wonder why Air Canada keeps using 777-200LR for this kind of long flight. But, personally I prefer 777-300 to -200LR 'cause -300 has perfect combination with stretched fuselage, wingspan and two huge engines that looks more beautiful and sexy.
