XB261 (cn 1004) Rare shot of the last seconds of the last flight by this particular Beverley, arriving on delivery to the Historic Aircraft Museum. Previously used by A&AEE for ULLA heavy drop trials. Sadly rusted away after museum failed and scrapped 4.89. Cockpit now at Newark. ATC quote from early Bev flight in French airspace: "We have contact, you appear to be followed by two objects" - "That's ok, it's our fins" |

It has excellent low speed characteristics and superb all round visibility making it a cheaper alternative to helicopters for surveillance operations such as Police work.
