Photo was taking while descending from 9000m to 8100m when she was climbing to 9600m on opposite direction & nearing route point PIMOL. Many thanks to A.net Photographer Zhangzongli for his help. |

XB261 (cn 1004) Rare shot of the last seconds of the last flight by this particular Beverley, arriving on delivery to the Historic Aircraft Museum. Previously used by A&AEE for ULLA heavy drop trials. Sadly rusted away after museum failed and scrapped 4.89. Cockpit now at Newark. ATC quote from early Bev flight in French airspace: "We have contact, you appear to be followed by two objects" - "That's ok, it's our fins" |

G-BOPO (cn 021) It was a real treat to see an Optica in the air again. The Optica first flew in 1979 with the unusual ducted fan pusher propellor. It has excellent low speed characteristics and superb all round visibility making it a cheaper alternative to helicopters for surveillance operations such as Police work. It is hoped that these may soon re-enter production |

G-ZZZC (cn 27107/15) Brand new GE90 almost installed, mechanics just finishing up the engine swap. An unusual sight at BOS. You gain a new respect and appreciation for the size of this engine when you see the mechanics up close and inside it! |
