N714CK (cn 22446/519) The most shocking image I have ever taken in my short airplane enthusiasm career. The shot a lot of people were waiting to see. Notice the mud of the rescue team that entered the cockpit from the broken glass on the right. Also notice that the first officer´s seat was removed to ease his way out of the plane. At last note the position of the controls! I will never forget the real sight of this, my first time in a 747 cockpit, well if we can consider it one. |

Look at the flap just to the left of the engine mount and you can see how warped the flap became from the extreme heat. Funny though, the aircraft rests on brand new tires. |

N6JR (cn RB-161) A firefighter approaches Jack Roush's Premier, moments after the crash. Jack is still in the cockpit. The aircraft was flying at 100-200 feet AGL, and appeared to be in a high-alpha, low-energy state. Moments later, the jet rolled 45-60 degrees to the right while descending, dragged a wingtip, spun 180 degrees on the ground, and came to rest in this position. |

CF90* The Sri Lanka Air Force took emergency delivery of 5 MiG 17F + 1 MiG 15 UTI due to an extreme need to put down a communist insurgency. Ironically, these aircrafts and training were quickly supplied by the USSR to fight the communists. This particular aircraft was damaged in a landing accident and sat in a storage yard for decades until the SLAF Museum folks decided to turn it into a display on extracting damaged aircrafts using track jacks. The MiGs were withdrawn from service in 1979. |

PH-BXP / XP-402 (cn 29600/924) KL1002 from Londen Heathrow landed in the poor rain and skidded of the runway 18R. Usually 737's leave the runway via V3, this happened at V4 (at the end of the runway) and ended into the nearby grass. All people left via the left back door and were brought to the terminal with 5 busses. And the cargo unloaded quickly. They put cars in front of the nosegear to protect it from any sight. Note the APU is still running! |

VT-ESM (cn 27078/987) A Bad day for Air India! Timely information provided by vigilant passengers onboard "KONARK" bound for Riyadh today at 10.30am averted what would have been a sure disaster! Apparently, a fuel leak from the wings onto the engines provoked sparks and fire from engine1 (extreme right). Luckily, the fire was doused in the nick of time. All 213 passengers were evacuated through emergency exit chutes of the 744 which was brought to a halt on A3. Notice the charred engine 1 cowling and the wing leading edge. |

G-FCLC (cn 28166/756) Landing on runway 23L under full emergency conditions. The aircraft suffered a hydraulic failure due to a leak on the port side of the aircraft, which meant a landing with amongst other things no nose wheel steering. The aircraft landed safely and a tug was dispatched to tow it back to stand. |
