7O-YMN (cn 21786/413) 'Yemenia 7000' seen gliding over the 405 Freeway on finals for RWY25L after a long haul direct from Paris Charles de Gaulle. As you can probably appreciate, this moment was quite an experience, one which I can never top or duplicate by fluke as it happened. Funnily enough, this is the first time I have ever seen a 747SP fly! This photo is dedicated to my good friend Jorge for his friendly hospitality during my stay and Steven for the heads up! |

An overview of Kai Tak taken by my late Father, probably in the late 1940s. Kai Tak looked a lot different than it does today, as does Kowloon. Seems like the IGS was not such a challenge for pilots in those days! |

EP-IAB (cn 20999/278) The upper deck of Iran Air B747SP. Although there are the usual economy class (with excellent legroom) seats, no passengers are allowed to seat here. This is reserved for the crew and security onboard. I was very lucky to have given the rare opportuity to photograph this binless, exclusive B747 classic upper deck. [Nikon D300] |

B-HYF (cn 234) Besides a horse racing in Happy Valley and Sha Tin, we also have a dragon racing in Chek Lap Kok. The red dragon is five years older than the golden dragon and he is Jumped the gun. While we waiting for ANA Boeing 787-881 Dreamliner first commercial return trip flight, Dragonair specially arranged a pair of 'dragon' taxiing simultaneously to runway 07R to gain an explore of their 20th and 25th anniversary special livery. Dragonair makes use of this opportunity, and they deserve a big thanks from us. |

9V-SPQ (cn 28025/1289) Onboard the last Singapore Airlines B747 flight from Hong Kong to Singapore. 337 fans joined this special celebration history making flight. Here is a toast to the SIA B747, Queen of the skies - the most elegant and beautiful subsonic commercial aircraft ever built. For many of us, it is through the B747 aircraft that the love for commercial aircraft have begun. Nothing will ever compare with Her Majesty. [Nikon D300] |
