Dedicated in October of 1972, Kansas City International Airport was dubbed TWA's "Airport of the Future". The first of its kind, the famed "drive to your gate" slogan was coined because of the 75 foot proximity of the curbside to each gate. The 1970's brought the dawn of the security checkpoint which made this layout very inefficent and forced TWA to relocate its hub to St. Louis. Today, KCI's 3 terminals are still in use and handle a large volume of passengers. |

To the left of the huge hangar is the Delivery Center building, in front of which stands a Southwest 737 signifying its delivery is imminent. The Dreamlifter is presumably visiting as a result of the runway resurfacing work at PAE. |

I am glad I finally got to see the view all the SCY and G4 crew see as they arrive into Laughlin. 34 is the active used most of the time here. If you look at the upper left you will see Davis Dam and Lake Mohave. That is AZ state road 68 behind the runway. To the right is Landmark Aviation with their hangar door open and behind that is the commercial terminal and fire house. If you look real close you can make out the Empress 732 as well. Special thanks to Don Laughlin for the great heli ride. |

I was taken aback and the shear number of aircraft on the ramp here. I've become accustomed to Dover AFB which normally has twenty some aircraft on the ramp where as NTU has nearly 100 visible in this shot. I find it a little funny that most of those fighters go from landing on carriers to landing on a 12,000 foot runway. |

An interesting uncharted airport just off the Chesapeake Bay. As you can see development has litterally forced this airport to close down half of its runway and allow a 100 foot tall water tower extrememly close to the runway. |

The controller was nice enough to point this airport out to me, while i was at 2,500 feet enroute to Tampa. The museum is really good and outside you can get close to some very large and impressive aircraft. |
