US Airways
Airbus A320-214
Off-Airport - Newark
USA - Delaware, June 6, 2011
Remark
Photographer
N106US (cn 1044) [Canon 1D Mark III + Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L] Continuing its historic move to the Carolinas Aviation Museum, the "Miracle on the Hudson" aircraft travels down I-95 in Newark, DE. Earlier in the day, N106US crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge from New Jersey. The additional logos on the fuselage are companies helping sponsor the move, and if you look closely, the white support vehicle is branded in a US Airways colors. This is my 500th photo in the database.

Busy Bee Congo
Let L-410AB Turbolet
Walikale
Congo (Kinshasa), April 14, 2009
Remark
Photographer
9Q-CSW (cn 730209) Walikale has no runway or apron. It is really just a road. First landed plane will depart behind, because only one direction in use. When there are no flights, cars use the road normally (9Q-CSW is the farthest aircraft, the others are unknown).

Delta Air Lines
Boeing 757-351
Las Vegas - McCarran International (LAS / KLAS)
USA - Nevada, November 21, 2010
Remark
Photographer
N588NW / 5808 (cn 32988/1024) I have observed many crosswind arrivals in LAS, some a bit hairy but none quite like this one. Flight 1850 flailing wildly on approach from MSP had to abandon the effort after several steep side to side swings and and a strong upward surge. The second approach was not much better but at least successful. It is not too often I become concerned for my own personal safety while spotting! Funny just after this the DE heavy turned out the approach and was seen circling east over the valley to take the 19's instead.

British Airways
Boeing 747-436
London - Heathrow (LHR / EGLL)
UK - England, May 5, 2003
Remark
Photographer
G-BNLI (cn 24051/784) Being towed across for its flight. Note how the aircraft is lifted at the front by the super tug to relieve stress on the forward gear. Its seems on this occasion its got a few spectators watching the process. For the car buffs out there, see if you can name each type.

All Nippon Airways - ANA
Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
Keflavik (KEF / BIKF)
Iceland, September 3, 2010
Remark
Photographer
N787EX (cn 40691/2) Dreamliner 002 doing crosswind testing at Keflavik this morning. The light was atrocious, but the winds were 25 gusting 30 knots, which is not as much as for the A380, when they were almost constantly blowing 45 knots. This shows the plane crabbing into runway 20 with the wind from the east. One can see the runway marker line like the aircraft is landing across it.
