D-ABIT (cn 24943/2049) Ready for take-off on runway 18 for a ferry flight back to FRA. You can't imagine how much power this Bobby sets free after releasing the brakes when you spool the engines up to 70% N1 to brake free the fan blades of ice that might have built up on their aft side and step of the brake pedals while increasing thrust up to around 90% N1. We reached 2000ft height above the threshold with a pitch angle of +30 degrees. This rocks! Try it @ home in your sim and listen to Song No 2 of Blur. Whoo hoo! |

D-ABKF (cn 37745/3044) The B738 performing flight AB-2450 from Dortmund (Germany) to Las Palmas,CI (Spain) with 165 passengers, rejected takeoff from Dortmund's runway 06 (length 2000 meters/6600 feet) in snowfall and came to a stop on soft ground at 07:05L (06:05Z). No injuries occured, the passengers disembarked via stairs. Air Berlin said, that the airplane came to a stop on a downslope making it appear like a collapsed nose gear, the airplane however did not receive any substantial damage. |
