G-BNLZ (cn 27091/964) It was a beautiful late summer afternoon and the sun was about to set. Local time was now 6:59 PM and I was trying to figure out how to shoot BA269 that was on a long straight in final for 24R. I had success with this location once before about a year ago and thought I would give it a try once again. Happily, everything turned out nicely, with the suns orangish hue enhancing every part of this shot. |

N752SA (cn 21255/295) Is taking off using the full length of Rwy 32 at Anchorage. Snow on the ground was blown up by the jet blast created by four CF6s. You might also notice that some fractured ice (that I presume) falling down from the main gear are captured. As I was aware that this location makes me backlit, I intended to take this image which was already completed in my mind before I click the shutter. It depicts the grace of flight and majesty of B.747 I would say. We are in 20F allowing us to capture such a crisp image. |

9V-SMC (cn 24063/736) Another airshow for all Kai Tak fans. However, it was not really performed in the sky but at an altitude below 100 feet.... just breathless!!! Not enough? Just search similar photos in this website which were taken from another angle, and more than that there is a video clip from YouTube which should be related to this shot. Just check it out and enjoy!!! |

ZS-SAU (cn 22971/578) WOW !!!!!!!! What more can I say. Only SAA can do it this big and outstanding. Today our President was inaugurated and SAA was asked to do a display. So SAA did it 3 times bigger and better by flying in formation using 2 x B747-300's and 1 x A340-600. Very ironic as well as the leading A340 is replacing the older B747's in the fleet. This Saturday SAA's classics will also fly its final revenue flight. So indeed appropiate for the classics to take part in this great display. Well done SAA !!!!!!!!!!! |

B-HOR (cn 24631/771) Double treat: I have seen many F16s, F15s do side by side landing but this was unusual. MX A320 descended on glideslope from 3500 AGL for Rwy 24R while CX 744 did same from 2200 AGL for Left side. Cathay 744 was told to hold 170 kts steady so MX can land just a bit ahead. And the result was perfect approach with spectacular results. |

If he were much lower he would have gotten the fence and these guys’ heads. Not very often you see grown men ducking down there. What an awesome weekend this was. Thanks guys! |
