OE-LEC (cn 4316) Taxiing into parking position after arrival via 08. The photo was taken from the rear of the aircraft at seat 29F aboard flight HG 2598 from Salzburg (SZG/LOWS). We had a delay of about half an hour. The reason for this was the de-icing processing at SZG, because of the freezing temperatures in and around Austria. Fortunately, the weather conditions at Tenerife are quite a lot better than at home: about 25°C outside temperatures, hardly any clouds but some very strong winds coming from the east. |

It was delivered to Singapore Airlines in 1980, and subsequently served around the world, including stints with Aerolineas Argentinas, Korean Air, and Air Plus Comet. Here, the upper deck has been stripped of parts (not to mention a chunk of wall), some of which will end up as museum pieces. Sadly, this aircraft met its final demise in late April 2013. |
