B-HOR (cn 24631/771) Double treat: I have seen many F16s, F15s do side by side landing but this was unusual. MX A320 descended on glideslope from 3500 AGL for Rwy 24R while CX 744 did same from 2200 AGL for Left side. Cathay 744 was told to hold 170 kts steady so MX can land just a bit ahead. And the result was perfect approach with spectacular results. |

However, this is changing forever and could disappear suddenly as we are now traveling more than 700 km/h with 10 km off the ground. Definitely, this is a damn difficult image to capture where my passion for photography comes from. The red cast on the wing comes from the anti-collision light as I managed to synchronize my photo with it. |

This was a spectacular storm and I only went out to shoot pictures after about 30 minutes of nearly continuous lightening. Really a treat to watch, but not very conducive to a smooth operation. If anyone wonders why the ramp closes when lightening is in the area this should be explanation enough. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence but this storm produced hundreds of strikes within the fence, according to the detector equip. |

That night we headed up to the parking garage for that purpose, not knowing what was coming in at the only open gate at TBIT. Needless to say I was quite pleased to see Wunala turn the corner, and luckily heavies can't turn into the gate on their own power so it gives you about 2 minutes to snap a few shots while the towbarless tug moves in to bring the aircraft into the gate. |

VQ-BCU (cn 1065) Aeroflot Airbus A330-300 VQ-BCU coming to land at Sheremetyevo International Airport leaving a great condensation trace after. Those Aeroflot A330s birds really do this all the time.
