I had planned to meet Wietse de Graaf and Miguel Snoep at the In N Out between 4:30 and 5P on that day. But the weather turned out so nice I decided to head down early and get some shots before hand. While there a fellow spotter friend of mine showed up to have a quick bite to eat. After shooting the breeze for awhile he invited me to come along with him and shoot this AI 74 that would be landing at about 4P. What a day! |

D-AICH (cn 971) An unmistakable perspective towards this looong Terminal 2 with all these loads of Lufthansa tails lined up one after the other proudly showing off that this is Germany's second busiest hub beside Fraport. The outaxiing crane and intaxiing Condor (both are biological birds though ;-)), which still keeps its spoilers deployed, add a nice touch of fresh colors to the frame too. That sunshine couldn' t get brighter that day either (there was no single cloud) and hence I would say that it was nothing but a great start into the autumn season on the Northern hemisphere! |

On our flight from LAX to PEK, a passenger was sick and experienced a shock. In case of life threat of the passenger, the captain decided to divert to ANC. RP-C7250 (cn 779) Dangerously low, this ATR was actually in level flight when i viewed my sequence of shots, the white perimeter fence seen is approximately 3 feet in height, this aircraft only just cleared the fence to which i did not think at this moment would be possible. A Zest airline aircraft hit this fence only a couple of months earlier in a similar approach with persons injured on board. |

The airport has the extreme weather and the complex of nature obstacles make this one to be one of the most difficult airports to operate in the world.
