Final approach to RWY09; the apron is already pretty well occupied but would be even more some 20 minutes later. Lufthansa is already about to leave the area and can be seen taxiing towards the holding point. [Nikon D200] |

OV-103 (cn OV-103) On short final for 33 at the NASA-Shuttle Landing Facility. Landing-15 seconds and the gear is down and locked. Commander Alan Poindexter is manually flying her to the touchdown point for a dead stick landing at somewhere between 214 to 226 miles per hour. A drag chute will slow her down to wheel stop. She looks dirty thanks to the fury of re-entry and high speed flight. Welcome home to Florida, Discovery! |

After a "non parallel" downwind leg (45°), the Captain starts a SINGLE turn at 600 feet (600 !!!). While turning and descending, we remain at the perfect level ("2 white - 2 red level" at the papi lights, left side) and, here, almost on the rwy we still have a serious and unusual bank angle. WOW, great skills, Captain. |

HB-IQH (cn 288) That's why I love a long lens! Too far away and too fast for your own eyes, you'd never be able to see this: The tire that's already made contact with terra firma is spinning like mad while on the front one you can clearly read the tire brand, it's amazing! Check it out, you'll like it I'm sure! |

N923FT (cn 22769/562) Simply stunning. I'm very sorry it's not crisp sharp, but unforgettable image! Took off with 23 knot winds. Apparently crosswinded takeoff. Totally out of the Axis, and kicking out lots of dust! Workers on the left of the Runway taking shelter!! Unforgettable! Sorry that it looks unlevel, but runway is horribly paved and I'm in a fuzzy angle! |

A6-EMV (cn 28687/432) This is a picture that I wouldn't normally upload because of the obvious application of Murphy's Law regarding a single cloud on a clear blue sky...but last week's crosswinds were so strong, that forced this 773 to approach runway 21R with a 30 degrees -or so- "crab" angle (which also led to a spectacular landing)! |

The solo pilot tried to avoid a crash against the control tower by pulling over the two groups. Instead he crashed into them. |
