USA - Air Force
Boeing E-4B (747-200B)
Everett - Snohomish County / Paine Field (PAE / KPAE)
USA - Washington, May 1985
Remark
Photographer
74-0787 (cn 20684/232) The front-end crew certainly gets a close view of the nozzle during air-to-air refueling hookups. The aircraft's presence at KPAE was presumeably related to its upgrade from "A" to "B" model.

Aeroflot
Tupolev Tu-154...

Russia, February 2004
Remark

That's Siberia ! We fly westbound to Europe, 68 degrees north latitude, 1 p.m. local time. One of few southbound flights in the area, originating from the polar region, crosses our route perpendicularly, 20 miles ahead of us, 1.000 meters below. They are getting a very fast early afternoon sunrise. We enjoyed during several hours the wonderful colours of sunset, before the sun rose again over Finland. Simply magic !

N649AS (cn 30663/1386) Wow! Northern lights and the Great Dipper!! This could be one of the ultimate window views that I could expect. Mother Nature surely does know how to pose for photographs. However, this is changing forever and could disappear suddenly as we are now traveling more than 700 km/h with 10 km off the ground. Definitely, this is a damn difficult image to capture where my passion for photography comes from. The red cast on the wing comes from the anti-collision light as I managed to synchronize my photo with it.
