N908AW (cn 24233/244) The sight of Hawaii was definitely a welcome sight after flying for over 7 hours due to the strong headwinds from the jetstream during the northern hemisphere’s winter. Our B752, equipped with these smart looking blended winglets, makes an unusual southerly approach into HNL, giving me a great view of Diamond Head, Waikiki and Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center, and Magic Island Beach Park. The usual thick clouds linger over the Ko'olau mountain range while the rest of the island remains clear; a typical gorgeous afternoon in paradise! Flying from PHX-HNL on US20. |
