N234AA (cn 49181/1125) It'll be a while before you see an airliner hanging in the air over a city street again. American Airlines kindly donated this MD80 to the George T. Baker Aviation school across the street from MIA. It was craned from the airport perimeter to LeJeune Road, then tugged over to the school in the middle of the night |

N392AN (cn 29429/700) At 2300LT of July 20th 2007 the Amazonic ACC had an electrical collapse due human failure and ALL frequencies got down. The planes couldn´t enter at flight information region and those in flight must land immediately at the first airport available. SBEG received 3 flights on that night: one of TAM en route to MIA and two AA, a Triple Seven to MIA and this 767 to DFW. Both American planes departed only at 0530AM LT. This is my 100th pic at A.net! |

N392AN (cn 29429/700) Pre-flight rush at gate 08! You can note a lot of action going on at the aircraft perimeter. The catering truck is being guided to the right spot by the marshaller. The adjustable loader would soon join the scene, loading some pallets inside the forward cargo compartment. [Canon 40D] |

N70529 (cn 49921/1752) Ship 529 waits for the ramp to reopen after the lightening subsides. This was a spectacular storm and I only went out to shoot pictures after about 30 minutes of nearly continuous lightening. Really a treat to watch, but not very conducive to a smooth operation. If anyone wonders why the ramp closes when lightening is in the area this should be explanation enough. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence but this storm produced hundreds of strikes within the fence, according to the detector equip. |

N7**AN Taken with a 8mp Olympus Evolt 300, used a 50-200mm zoom lens with full 200mm. I was doing Aerial Mapping across the departure end of Runways 30L/C and I just happen to get as close as 500ft from an American 777 departing at 1300 LCL |

N70404 (cn 49315/1257) The pilots were unable to start the #1 engine. The aircraft was towed back into the gate and an A&P worked under the cowling for about 20 minutes. Then they pushed back and it started right up. |
