G-ATFM (cn 61270) Manufactured 1965. Ex CF-OKY. Came across this old print a few days ago and took me a while to pin the date down. Taking some time, old print scans can still make it onto Airliners.net. Flatbed scanned Kodak print. |

G-BIWY (cn 901) The WG.30 was originally known as the Super Lynx, alluding to its military derivation but was never very successful, only 40 being made. 21 went to India as part of an aid deal from 1986 (2 w/o and 19 thought still to be stored). This 1981-built example was retained by Westland and was later moved to Italy for structural testing prior to development of the AW.139 |

G-BOAC (cn 204) Late afternoon arrival of Concorde as BA002. After she landed, several other airplanes had to perform a go-around due to a deflated tyre on G-BOAC, while the runway was being checked and cleaned for debris. Only when looking at the photo's at home, I found out that its RH front tyre on the right main landing gear was already deflated and deformed on approach! Looks like the new Michelin NZG tyre performed as advertised and did not blow catastrophically. Photo 2 of 4. |

G-BNWU (cn 25829/483) This BA got my attention because he landed on the mainly departure runway. Nothing special so far until he came closer to me and noticed his main gear doors were still open. My first thought was a hydraulic failure. Something which I never expected was a few seconds after touchdown. Some very big smoke clouds came from one of the maingears. The fire department was quickly at the incident. Result of all was a blocked runway for about 30 minutes and a very large growing queue for departure. (Photo taken through glass) |

G-ALDG (cn 08) Captured immediately after her restoration including a complete repaint - the world's only surviving Hermes looks gorgeous in her pristine BOAC livery. The Hermes was the first purpose-built pressurised airliner built in Britain after the end of World War Two. Built in 1950 and nicknamed 'Horsa' this Hermes operated from London to West and South Africa from 1950 to 1953. The restoration is superb, with every panel and rivet now pristine. Soon to be moved inside AirSpace, so get your photos quick! |

G-YMMS (cn 36517/784) BAW275 smokes the mains on 25L after an on-time arrival just before sundown. Unseasonably cool tempatures made this shot possible. This angle is unusal as it is generally much to warm already in Las Vegas for shots within 50 feet of the ground. |
