VH-HYB (cn 023) After I found out that HYB was sitting in the hangar with damaged doors, due to a ramp incident, I finished work at 23:30 and headed straight to the airport. I had to climb on top of my car and steady the tripod to take this shot. You all know what it's like, to get that much saught after shot! Thanks Jas.. for the info about this, and the scan! |

VH-RMG (cn 22695/35) Del 8/83. What do you do when you get to the holding point for the active runway and the tower notices fuel streaming from beneath the wings???? That's right, you call the Fire Service and shut down the engine on that side (No.1 engine is shut down in this shot) and return to the terminal. Don't ask what the guy with the "wheely measurer" is doing! Nothing to do with the AN aircraft I'm sure!!! Aircraft was operating AN895 to Bali. |

VH-HYI (cn 140) Del 1/91; showing the signatures of Ansett staff sad at the loss of their jobs and their airline. This aircraft departed about 30 minutes later as AN169 to Perth which then turned around as AN152 to operate the final ever Ansett Australia flight which was the return PER SYD sector. The flight arrived on time at 0645 the following morning back in Sydney. |
