N2**UP It is always delighted to see some snow on the undercarriage is blown off by the air stream. This UPS MD-11F is now leaving Anchorage from runway 32 with some interesting selection of cargo airplanes behinds. As this photograph was taken the moment after the sun broke through the peak of mountains, the orange hue gives us a warm atmosphere. In a reality, it is -9F (-22.8C) which makes me pretty cold; but, as you might know, I like crispy winter day so that I really enjoy what I am doing here!! |

D-ALCP (cn 48414/491) It's the second landing attempt to KJA. The fog was very thick and dense, so when it flew over me, it's wasn't visible. After just there was gap into a fog, through I were able to take this photo. On the final approach turbulent jets dispelled the fog with circular structures. 90-26230 (cn 70-1597) During the 920th Rescue Wing role demonstration at the 2011 edition of the Cocoa Beach airshow, this 308th Rescue Squadron HH-60 makes an attempt to show the public the various ways of extracting PJs from the water. Due to the high swells, rip currents and heave downdraft from the rotors, a wave breaks early, resulting in a wall of water engulfing the helicopter. The PJ never made it into the helicopter as the 'rescue’ was called off. |

PH-BGN (cn 38125/3584) Climbing up into the sunset aboard KL 1797 from Amsterdam to Munich at only 3:30pm local time makes me realize winter has arrived in the Northern hemisphere. The broken clouds reflecting on the upper surface of our wing and the rays of sunlight hitting the ground in the distance have me wide awake, even after a trans-atlantic crossing from New York's John F. Kennedy the previous night. It's a peaceful thing... just sitting there, gazing out at the fading light and having the world pass by below. |
