Flying in close formation, this occasion marked the official start of a historic partnership between Qantas Airways and Emirates. The flyover was done under a special call sign "Seismic", as Tim Clark says the EK-QF partnership had caused seismic shift in the global aviation. Interestingly, Delta-Yankee disappeared from the radar after takeoff - was the TCAS system switched off? I quite like how the two prominent tails aligns one another. |

10-4194 / FF (cn 645-4194) Avalon International Air Show 2013. Sunday, the final day of the air show saw the F-22 Raptor put through its handling display pleasing the spectators. I think the highlight of the display for me was the decending flat spin. In this particular image the pilot pulls a high-G turn in front of my lens showing the rear of the aircraft with that diffused hear plume from the afterburners. It was great to see the fly this time round. |
