N6**UP Wide-angle view, 1.000 feet below this old lady. 10 seconds behind, hot and cold flows are not yet fully mixed. Stare closely at the trails, rotating fast inwards, to feel their tremendous energy. They clearly show here the danger of flying too close at the same level. |

Wow! Imagine if the airport is still in use, the Super Jumbo Jet will fly in from the right and perform a 47 degree turn upon the football field to align with the runway then touchdown rwy 13. Photo without watermark and dedicated to all. [Canon 24-105mm IS, Provia 100F] |

N942UW (cn 27807/662) Climbing away from Paradise. Note the smile - According to PSA History, a mechanic painted a similar smile on a 737-300. The captain refused to fly the aircraft not knowing what it was and the flight was cancelled. Many years later it is still painted on quite a few planes in the US Airways fleet. Thanks to Robert Adams and PSA History for the information. |

LY-DOT (cn 176) What can only be described as bad luck for this aircraft, a small tornado hit it on 8 Aug only a couple of hours after it had brought the road-crew and gear of Iron Maiden who were to perform in Sonisphere Finland 2010. The plane was probably lifted off the ground, as it had shifted a couple of meters and lost a gear. The damage to the port wing, the port propeller, the port main landing gear and fuselage resulted in the aircraft being scrapped and broken-up @POR. |
