N836D (cn 45345/928) Walking onto the tarmac and seeing her for the first time brought back memories from my childhood. It was almost like being a kid again, the excitement and anticipation growing knowing that I would soon be flying a DC-7. My next thrill would be seeing the flames from the engine exhaust. I remember being mesmerized by those flames on my frist flight from ORF to EWR on a Connie in 1957. |
