4R-ALE Remains of an A330 about one week after rebels stormed the airport and destroyed 4 airliners, including A330s 4R-ALE and 4R-ALF. Newspapers reported that 4R-ALE was parked at stand A13 and 4R-ALF at stand 17, and this aircraft is apparently at stand A13, so this is assumed to be 4R-ALE. |

925 black The moment my heart stopped! A Russian MiG-29 925 has just smashed into the ground having collided with her sister 526 during their air display at the 1993 IAT. At this point I thought the pilot was still in the plane though he had already escaped without injury. If you look carefully to the right of the photo the MiG's tail fin can be seen bouncing away from the wreckage and other flying debris is visible. A moment I will never forget. |

N364FE (cn 46600/4) Two years ago this little mishap occurred at MEM. This is what the NTSB concluded - "1) the first officer's failure to properly apply crosswind landing techniques to align the airplane with the runway centerline and to properly arrest the airplane's descent rate (flare) before the airplane touched down; and 2) the captain's failure to adequately monitor the first officer's performance and command or initiate corrective action during the final approach and landing." |

N8859E / 410 (cn 20621/904) The sign message is almost appropriate for this scenario. Ex-Eastern and Pan Am. This photo was taken several hours after Hurricane Andrew devastated the southern part of Dade County. High winds at MIA blew this bird into the canal and it never flew again. It was scrapped in 1996 at MIA. |

HZ-AIO (cn 23266/624) The right direction & the wrong direction. On August 23, 2001 the crew lost directional control of the plane during taxiing from a hangar toward a departure gate prior to boarding, it entered into a ditch causing serious damage to the nose section. None of the six crewmembers aboard were seriously injured. Note Malaysia Airlines B747-4H6 (9M-MPH) showing the right direction. |

A very lucky incident for the passengers and people around this sector, but a very unlucky event for Iberia. Sitting here after two days from the incident. Simply a breathtaking view! Big isn't it? |

79001 (cn 9001) An extraordinary feature of the expanded Flygvapenmuseum, opened on 12.6.10, are these Dakota remains. On 13.6.52, exactly 48 years before this photo, it was shot down over the Baltic by Soviet fighters while on a secret ELINT mission, checking installations in what are now Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Two Catalinas deployed on SAR after the incident were also attacked by Mig-15s. The Soviets denied the shoot-down till 1991 and the wreckage was not found until 2003 |

PP-SPL (cn 48745/596) I have looked on the Terminal B at Zürich how this plane rotate from Rwy 16! During the take-off, I heard 3 or 4 very loud bangs and then I saw the fire which came out of Engine 2. I took my camera and made a shot. What luck to see the flame because she was only visible for a few seconds! Please check out the original picture by clicking here. |

N656US (cn 26847/486) WOW!!! I was taking some pictures at the end of Rwy 24 when this US Airways n/c came over shooting flames and making loud bangs. I counted 8 of them, and lucky for me, at least 3 times I got the fire on the photo with the result like this. Those people inside must have been shocked really hard with all those flames and bangs! btw: I like their new paintjob! [Camera: EOS 300D Lens: Canon 90-300mm] |
