D-ALCH (cn 48801/640) View from the cockpit on a clear spring night. Ahead of us the heart of our galaxy - the Milky Way! Below you can see a line of fires, which belong to the oil fields near Basrah, Iraq. 30 seconds exposure in FL 350. |

VH-AUZ / A17-159 (cn DHA160) After many attempts at trying to do gain this effect, I had moderate success with this one time where I exposed the stars above this beautifully restored Tiger Moth on Hindmarsh Island for a mere 20 minutes. Note the visibility of those celestial clouds and the Milky Way. Shortly there after those dreaded clouds came from nowhere to cease all further attempts during the same night. But alas, I don't give up that easily. Watch this space for the next attempt. |

LX-BPK (cn 10661) "LUXGSM World Balloon Trophy 2010" I've been thinking about what should be my 2000th photo here on A.net and coincidence wanted that the Nightglow event at the beautiful Echternach lake would take place at around the time this upload would be done, so I thought why not offer myself a nice firework to celebrate the milestone! Hope you all like it as much as I do! [Nikon D200 / AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm] |

An exposure time of aproximetly 45 minutes showing departures out of OSL and stars moving across the night sky in 18 degrees C below zero this last night of November. This is one of the best spots at Gardermoen for approaching / landing aircraft and provides a good overview of the western runway and most of the airport itself. [EOS 5D2 + EF 15mm F2,8 Fisheye] |
