This is an airport any photographer must visit. Located in the country of Angola. The Luanda airport houses some of the rarest aircraft ever. Some aircraft are still flying in and out of here that have been banned in other countries. I stopped counting at 50 of the number of aircraft parked on the ramp and grass. Take a look at my home airport - Warsaw Okecie. The second terminal is almost finished, extending nicely to the north and a bit to the south from the old reddish one. Warsaw's longest runway (33-15) is undergoing maintanance, so the active runway is 11-29. A queue has formed on taxiway C1 leading to the threshold of runway 11. The next aircraft to take off is an A320 from Balkan Holidays (ex Virgin Nigeria). If You look closely You will also notice a Polish Air Force Tu-154 resting on the military apron. |
