VT-JEB (cn 35158/637) Big Angry 9W 121 Heavy inbound from London Heathrow with a fair bit of Condensation build-up on her wings & checkout the size of those Vortices! I was lucky to have the storm clouds for background as otherwise their visual impact would'nt have been this dramtic. |

HS-TYR / 60221 (cn 1908) One of the most heartbreaking photo of my aviation photography hobby. This RTAF A319 setting silently in the water that flooded Don Mueang during the 2011 Thailand flood. I board the boat and it was 2.5 meters of water under my boat. Once in a lifetime that you can ride the boat in the airport! (Fuji S9600) |

HP-1376CMP (cn 30497/574) [Canon 1D Mark III + Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L] Copa was responsible for 2 very memorable moments during my trip to St. Maarten. This 737-700 hovered at around 50 feet to the end of the runway before blasting upwards over Maho Beach. In this photo, you can see the landing gear is almost completely stowed very low to the ground, and the runway piano keys are reflecting off the belly of the aircraft. |

HP-1520CMP (cn 33707/1376) [Canon 1D Mark III + Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L] When I planned this year's trip to SXM, I booked one-way tickets on two separate carriers, so I could get a few extra hours of spotting in. About an hour prior to my airport check-in to return home, fellow A.netter Marseno Bremer and I looked in astonishment, as Copa 134 floated low over the water and made an extremely low approach over Maho Beach. It was the highlight of my trip, and left me speechless in the minutes following the landing. |

PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) The "City of Guayaquil" is seen a hundred feet above the world famous Maho Beach and the sparkling clear waters of Sunset Bay chasing its shadow to the runway. This place takes photography to a whole new level when you can literally go for a swim or sip on a bottle of Carib while waiting for an aircraft. It's quite obvious that I was not the only one with a camera around here, but this young woman certainly appreciated being part of the photograph more than I would have. |

Without a doubt, the most beautiful airport setting in the World! The airport was opened during World War II. The small cross runway built by US Air Force can be seen at the lower right. The airport is located on a "Motu". A boat transfer is necessary to get to the main island of Bora Bora. I was very lucky to be able to get this aerial photo after my flight was delayed and I bumped into Tahiti Helicopter pilot who agreed to take me for a ride! Dedicate the photo to my wife, Vicki. PH-FZH (cn 20210) Somewhere in the early months of 2008... an empty flight with crystal clear weather and a routing through one of the most monumental valleys in the entire world; through the Bamiyan valley. Unfortunately only the niches of the massive Buddha-statues (55-37meters high) remain visible since the statues themselves were destroyed in 2001. Valley situated at 8200ft above sea level and peaks rise up to 20.000ft+. One of the most memorable flights of my life. |

A6-EHB (cn 757) [Canon 7D + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM] The conventional wisdom is to not take pictures of backlit aircraft when it's cloudy out. But if the aircraft passes through a beam of sunshine, which is reflected off the water, the results can be stunning. |
