F-BPVY (cn 21745/370) Yeah, he is REAL low! If Air France had names for their aircraft like Pan Am did, we could call this one "Clipper of the Fence".

F-BPVY (cn 21745/370) This one was MUCH lower than anything else that came in while we were here. The person in the white shirt just under the nose wheel is Chris Weldy. See it from his angle

Photo was taking while descending from 9000m to 8100m when she was climbing to 9600m on opposite direction & nearing route point PIMOL. Many thanks to A.net Photographer Zhangzongli for his help.

PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) This 747 took one extremely low pass over the Maho Bay before touching down before the piano keys on runway 09. Scary stuff!

N400WN (cn 27891/806) The runway 01 departure the day before that Sam shot may be nicer, but this is the best you can do with 25R.

Vaso Airlines
Ilyushin Il-86
Phuket (HKT / VTSP)
Thailand, January 10, 2006
Remark
Photographer
RA-86140 (cn 51483211102) No more runway left = Must rotate! Look at where the 1000 ft marker sign and where the plane is! One heart-stopping takeoff! The front gear of the plane actually got up before the '1' marker but the body remains heavy. I think the pilots know exactly where to rotate. The Ilyushin also kicked up a large sandstorm on the beach and it was barely above it after finally airborne. IL86 is such a beast! [Nikon D2x, High speed crop mode]
