G-N94AD (cn 210) First time of the concorde in Barcelona, it came from LHR the day before, and in the morning he departed for a direct BCN-JFK flight chartered by "Banco Industrial de Cataluña" to offer the flight to it's best customers. The light was atrocious, but the winds were 25 gusting 30 knots, which is not as much as for the A380, when they were almost constantly blowing 45 knots. This shows the plane crabbing into runway 20 with the wind from the east. One can see the runway marker line like the aircraft is landing across it. |

9M-MRI (cn 28416/155) About 10 seconds after liftoff from runway 19R something happens with the left engine. Alot of smoke and fragments of metal and other material falls down on the runway. At first the pilots don't get any indications in the cockpit and plan to go on to Kuala Lumpur. Then we decide to call Arlanda duty officer to make sure that they have noticed the pieces from the engine on the runway. Shortly after that the pilots requests fueldump and return to ARN safely. N6809 (cn 19484/560) OK! Let’s go! Ship 6809 is now taxiing out in a beautiful winter sunlight with her sister ships being washed out by the heat exhaust. Since the snow storm has brought us a pile of snow, the aircrafts are definitely needed of a deicing before departure. This photograph goes to Captain Thomas Gabbett and true aviators for Kitty Hawk who gave me the opportunity to make the article featuring cargo operation to the Japanese Aviation Magazine. This is my favorite angle of one of the greatest jetliner ever built. |

N621FE (cn 48792/636) Lightly loaded FedEx MD-11F is now rocketing out from RWY32 at Anchorage - because of the Saturday maybe? As the sun was suddenly jumping into the frame, it gave me an interesting yellowish hue. The thermometer in the vehicle showed that it was -9F (-22.8C) which made me pretty cold; but, as you might know, I like winter so that I was really excited what I am doing here! The horizontal stabilizer and tail section were shadowed onto the puff of clouds created by break dusts. Pretty cool effect I would say. |
