The captain did the unthinkable, he pushed the plane to the fastest speed possible, Mach 0.884 during my cockpit visit to show me what B747SP can do. (mind you we were against the wind too). Heavy traffic at London Heathrow terminal area implies a few holdings at your Initial Approach Fix, in this case Ockham VOR. In The F/O Navigation display you can clearly see the shape of the hold. With the camera tilted 30º (same as airplane's bank angle) and this light conditions it is very dificult to hold the camara steady to get a sharp shot. This is my best try. |
