Hong Kong - Kai Tak International (HKG / VHHH) (closed)
China - Hong Kong, August 12, 2010
Remark
Photographer
The old Kai Tak Airport site viewed from Kowloon Peak. Few signs remain of the world reknown airport that once served as Hong Kong's gateway to the world except the old runway 13 that prominantly extends into the harbor. [Canon 1D MkII w/ 24-70 F2.8 L]

Netherlands, November 3, 2006
Remark

PH-BQG / QG-007 (cn 32704/476) Love these powerful rotations: lots of moisture on the runway and in the engines as this 777 departs runway 24. Sadly I have to dig these shots up from my archive now as this location is no more.

Boeing 777-3ZG/ER
Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, August 8, 2010
Remark
Photographer
VH-VOZ (cn 35302/745) As OZ 1 passes the In N Out, we can see a typical Sunday “moment in time” for this great location. Several patrons below it take a quick break from their food to look up and admire the show above. We also see a line of cars in the Q for takeout, sometimes numbering as many as 30. And lastly, can you see the window with a gentleman sitting in it? Burger in hand and soda sitting on the table? This for me has to be the best table in the house. I love to sit there and have one and watch the action. The best

VH-VPH (cn 37943/898) V Australia's newest 777. What a beautiful aircraft, especially at night! Mood lighting looks great. Getting ready to be tugged into the gate at Terminal 3. [Canon 40D + Canon 100-400L IS]

Scandinavian Airlines - SAS
Boeing 737-883
Innsbruck - Kranebitten (INN / LOWI)
Austria, January 15, 2011
Remark
Photographer
LN-RPM (cn 30195/696) "Frigg Viking" climbs past the partly cloud-covered mountain chain North of Innsbruck Airport, operating SAS Norge flight SK7481 to Oslo Gardermoen International Airport. Due to extremely warm temperatures caused by Foehn winds there is not a lot of snow on the peaks in the foreground, but the 'Bettelwurf' in the back helps completing the scene with a good amount left.

Cathay Pacific Airways
Boeing 747-467
Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, November 19, 2005
Remark
Photographer
B-HOR (cn 24631/771) Double treat: I have seen many F16s, F15s do side by side landing but this was unusual. MX A320 descended on glideslope from 3500 AGL for Rwy 24R while CX 744 did same from 2200 AGL for Left side. Cathay 744 was told to hold 170 kts steady so MX can land just a bit ahead. And the result was perfect approach with spectacular results.
