N1063T (cn 45777/80) Final Departure, Flight 553. On my very first road trip to photograph airliners I spent the day at PIT. Driving home that evening I heard on the radio that a TWA flight from PIT had a mid-air collision with a Beechcraft over Ohio. This is THAT FLIGHT, Flt 553, about to leave the gate at PIT. The aircraft was less than two months old, and I've never seen another photo of it. |

In this case, a gentleman looks for shells and could care less about the classic Convair buzzing his head. I was lucky to capture this moment, as my outbound flight to St. Barts that morning was canceled, leaving me with an hour of free time to walk back out to the beach. |
