ZK-NZP (cn 46910/182) New Zealand 550 heavy is on short final landing runway 24L routing AKL-HNL-LAX. On Friday, Air New Zealand bring three DC-10-30's to LAX, one continues to LHR for BAW. First flight was November 8, 1974. Delivery date was December 13, 1974. Sadly, W/O November 28, 1979 with Air New Zealand as ZK-NZP over Antartica near Mt. Erebus during a white-out while conducting an overfly sight-seeing trip. All were lost - r.i.p. |
