HL7733 (cn 34206/520) Finally!! After a year and a half of waiting for this aircraft to arrive in the winter rotation under optimal conditions my goal has been achieved. Pictured here grazing 25L during a brief cloud break just beyond the thousand foot marker in considerably stormy and extremely windy conditions as KAL5 completing direct service from Seoul. The windsock under the fuselage in indicative of the incredible crosswind during the arrival but she managed quite nicely I must say. This endeavor has been particularly challenging as KE only uses the 772 three days weekly during the winter months and jumbos most of the year now. As well as one of the last, this is my favorite photo taken this year. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do.1600 Pixels Wide! |

G-CIVW (cn 25822/1157) The sun has almost reached the horizon out over the Pacific Ocean as Speedbird 282 to London Heathrow slowly climbs away after taking off on rwy 25R on an incredibly clear afternoon in the LA basin. The photograph was taken at 06:02pm local time with sunset occurring at 06:10pm. |

D-AHXB (cn 30717/2228) I know I have used this phrase way too much, but it remains to be oh-so appropriate. Air Berlin flight AB 8843 to Duesseldorf (EDDL) is seen after take off from runway 26 with the gear already retracted and scraping its blended winglet along the huge mountain cliffs North of the airport. Taken approximately one hour before the sun disappeared behind the peaks. Certainly a good final photograph to end 2010! |
