TF-FIV (cn 30424/956) On the occasion of the Icelandic Silver Medalist Olympic team arriving in Iceland they were flown seperately from Keflavik to Reykjavík for a royal welcome celebration. TF-FIV was accompanied by two Coast Guard helicopters and DC-3, TF-NPK. The 757 captain got permission for a low approach to runway 19 and here is was must certainly be an Olympic record for low approaches by a 757 approximately 20 feet off the runway in this photo. |

By the orientation of the runways here in Mexico City, photography during the winter months becomes a bit harder, but there are indeed some great possible angles if you press down the shutter button at the right time. In this frame Lufthansa flight 498 from Frankfurt is arriving just 8 or 9 minutes before the sun hides in the horizon. |

While cruising off the coast of southern Thailand and northern Malaysia, we passed quite a few of these lighting storms, while I was enjoying my supper of Thai chicken curry. I was pretty lucky to finally catch one of the many lighting flashes inside these dark ominous clouds, as the last light of the day illuminates the western skies. Also somehow lucky to get the wing strobe to flash at the same time, talk about luck! |
