D-AIMG (cn 069) This image shows an aborted takeoff, after two seconds of full thrust the crew rejected the takeoff because of HMU trouble in engine No1. Two aircraft had to go around because the Lufthansa A380 was not able to leave the runway soon enough. The aircraft then went back to the terminal via taxiway Tango 1 and all the passengers were unloaded. A replacement part was flown in on board of D-AIMF the following day. D-AIMG left MIA two days later with a total delay of 53 hours. |

an autumn morning seen during Approach for 08L in MUC. The rising sun cleared the fog a bit, the airport just switched from CAT II to regular CAT I operations, still there are a lot of fog patches. You can see aircraft departing from both RWYs and the silhouette of MUCs ATC tower. |

A6-EDZ (cn 107) Seen here clearing water off 23L in Auckland on her maiden return voyage to Dubai via Sydney. Auckland now sees two daily Emirates A380s and it just happened that the newest and oldest (EDA) were here at the same time. 9V-SGC (cn 478) It is very rare that one can get this type of photo. I was on a photography assignment when a huge storm swept into Changi Airport. Normally in these weather conditions it is time to pack up and head home. But when you are on assignment, you have to wait it out. Suddenly out of the pouring rain came SQ22 bound for EWR with the rain bucketing down! I clcked, and here is the result. What a moment! [Nikon D800] |
