**-**** Taken by my Great Uncle during World War Two. This was taken from a gunners position on top of the aircraft. This photo was taken while on a bombing run over Germany. I have come to find out that there are not many photos left of this squadron and that not many were taken. Sadly my Great Uncle has passed away and his wife and his brother gave me permission to share this photo with A. net. |

NC39165 / PH-AJU / 44 (cn 1404) No this is not a fun pic. During a forma.... ehh "close proximity without loosing eye contact flight" this is how you fly. Constantly looking at each other rather then looking ahead or watching the instruments, that's a job for the guy in the other seat. The DC2 is now marked with Goodyear Aviation Tires, our new sponsor. |

Passengers from a domestic flight walk unescorted along the apron edge as the port engine of BEA Viking 1B G-AMNJ is revved up. All was delightfully easy going in those long past days! |
