1***** / NF USS Midway (CV-41), docked in Fremantle. Midway was built during World War Two, commissioned on 10 September 1945. At this time it was based at Yokosuka, Japan. Decommissioned on 10 April 1992, she is now a floating aircraft museum in San Diego, California. Aircraft aboard belonged to Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5), including F/A-18A Hornets of VFA-195, VFA-192 & VFA-151; A-6E & KA-6D Intruders of VA-115 & VA-185; EA-6B Prowlers of VAQ-136; E-2C Hawkeyes of VAW-115, and SH-3H Sea Kings of HS-12. |
