Heavy traffic at London Heathrow terminal area implies a few holdings at your Initial Approach Fix, in this case Ockham VOR. In The F/O Navigation display you can clearly see the shape of the hold. With the camera tilted 30º (same as airplane's bank angle) and this light conditions it is very dificult to hold the camara steady to get a sharp shot. This is my best try. |

EC-GRI (cn 177) Touch down moment captured in a 0.8 sec. exposure. Canon EOS 20D ISO 800 and Sigma 15-30 EX DG. No tripod was used. Note the ground spoilers are deployed and you can guess the lowering the nose motion from the runway lights traces. Not an easy shot to take. Enjoy!!! |
