PH-AOK / OK-509 (cn 834) KLM7472 came in from Paris Orly again for a post-maintenance testflight and the plan was to make a low approach. Now I've seen my fair share of low approaches by now and that includes an actual touch & go, but this one left me breathless again. I was sure it would touch, but it didn't! There was only a few cm's left between the lowest wheel and the runway. It was also the first time they rocked their wings during the climbout. Really cool to see! Thanks guys!! |

VH-OQJ (cn 062) The world's first dual A380 flyover happened today in Sydney. Flying in close formation, this occasion marked the official start of a historic partnership between Qantas Airways and Emirates. The flyover was done under a special call sign "Seismic", as Tim Clark says the EK-QF partnership had caused seismic shift in the global aviation. Interestingly, Delta-Yankee disappeared from the radar after takeoff - was the TCAS system switched off? I quite like how the two prominent tails aligns one another. |

A6-EDV (cn 101) Now we're talking dedicated A380 terminal, however still some 777 and 340's standing at the Concourse. Note as well "men at work" to get the structure nice and clean for some A.net shots ;) . From left to right, -EDV is getting ready as EK003 for London-Heathrow, -EDQ preparing to serve to Paris-CDG as EK075, -EDR to be EK803 to head to Jeddah, and last but not least -EDY assigned EK380 soon to commence flight to Hong Kong. |
