N733PA (cn 19640/6) Clipper "Air Express" in Hangar 19 for routine maintenance. This classic 747 was later renamed "Moscow Express", and "Pride of the Sea" before being retired from service in 1991. With this aircraft Pan Am inaugurated the first ever non-stop service from New York to Moscow on May 15, 1988. I was lucky enough to capture this photo while on a tour of maintenance operations at JFK in 1980.

Other serials - C-GTFF with Pratt & Whitney Canada Inc - reserialed from N708BA in December 2010, and BAHC - Boeing Aircraft Holding Co, and also N708BA with Transatlantic International Airlines - delivered September 2004, Wings Worldwide Flying Hospital - delivered June 2001, and Pratt & Whitney Canada Inc. Temporary storage at MZJ. Nice!

G-AOVO (cn 13423) Passengers from Toronto & Montreal disembark from G-AOVO on a frosty morning as other pax board BOACs 707 for New York. An Air France Caravelle and a diverted BOAC Comet 4 complete the scene. The nearest aircraft, G-ARWE was destroyed by fire after a successful crash-landing at Heathrow on 8th April 1968 after an engine disintegrated on take off.

G-AWNA (cn 19761/23) Seen here at the British Airways engineering base after a test firing of the number 3 right door ramp and off-wing slide, prior to the aircraft entering the hangar for a major overhaul. These off-wing slides and door ramps were later removed and doors 3 left and right de-activated. A satisfactory evacuation could be accomplished using the remaining 8 main deck doors plus the upper deck door.
