To celebrate the opening of the new part of the airport, the "Airside Center", there was an airport festival with many attractions and shows including this one. The MD-11 was lifted up by three hydraulic devices so they could show the retraction of the gear. It was very impressive to see the massive main gear retract within 13 seconds and to actually hear the sound of the slamming doors once they shut!! |
