20 miles to the airport, an absorbed-in-other-things stork struck this aircraft causing what you can see here. It didn't affect navigation, so they landed smoothly. Radar was the only thing they lost. It remained unuseful. Birds are not so cute as they try to appear...[aircraft ID withheld on request of photographer, Ed.]. |

EC-JOH (cn 731) Skid off during landing. Certainly amazing, no one was hurt, but the damage is amazing. 3 Engines ripped out, wing lost, a landing gear ripped out, front gear collapsed! Note engine 1 and 2 totaly ripped facing an other way! Just look how close it was to this house and to the wall. |

N462M (cn 14153) During my visit to the museum last year all was normal so imagine my shock when I saw the cylinder protruding through the cowling of the #2 engine! All appeared legit to me until I received an email from Carlos Gomez. Carlos said that the cylinder protruding through the cowling was a front row cylinder but that it was protruding through the rear of the cowling above the rear row of cylinders. Gotta wonder what’s going on here? |

CS-TKN (cn 624) This month of November had been really good for us spotters, with so many different things coming by!! Not being a different A/C, this one deserved some attention... These pilots were caught in some wind shear, and it was really close to total disaster, since the wing almost touched the ground! You can also see the stress in main landing gear... At that time, there were gusts up to 44 knots of crosswind, and heavy turbulence was reported! I'm glad that everything ended up well.. [Canon 40D + Sigma 120-400 |

N330AA (cn 22330/166) 12:30:22. The day is hazy and hot. I was taking photos to the Air New Zealand's 747-400 ZK-SUJ, when in the background I saw a big explosion in the engine number 1. It was the American's 767 N330AA. At the time of the explosion, the aircraft engines were running while the plane was parked near to the AA hangar. [Canon 20D + Sigma 50-500] |

MM54552 / 10 (cn 6773/168/AD019) Frecce Tricolori. I tried to follow the group from left to the right. When the oposite group came in view I took the picture and this is what it became. The solo pilot tried to avoid a crash against the control tower by pulling over the two groups. Instead he crashed into them. |

The AirCanada DC9 (on fire) landed only a few seconds before this picture was taken. The DC9 performed an emergency landing on 27L (today 27), when Capt. Grieder's B727 was on short final for runway 18 (today 18R) and was then advised to go around. Photo scanned by Jan Von Wuthenau. |

9M-MRI (cn 28416/155) About 10 seconds after liftoff from runway 19R something happens with the left engine. Alot of smoke and fragments of metal and other material falls down on the runway. At first the pilots don't get any indications in the cockpit and plan to go on to Kuala Lumpur. Then we decide to call Arlanda duty officer to make sure that they have noticed the pieces from the engine on the runway. Shortly after that the pilots requests fueldump and return to ARN safely.
