RA-86140 (cn 51483211102) No more runway left = Must rotate! Look at where the 1000 ft marker sign and where the plane is! One heart-stopping takeoff! The front gear of the plane actually got up before the '1' marker but the body remains heavy. I think the pilots know exactly where to rotate. The Ilyushin also kicked up a large sandstorm on the beach and it was barely above it after finally airborne. IL86 is such a beast! [Nikon D2x, High speed crop mode] |

***** What is it I hear you ask ? This is a jet powered crop sprayer biplane ! A unique design the M-15 caused plenty of concern in the Cold War West as many suspected it had a more sinister application role initially. A couple of hundred went to Aeroflot and were indeed seen crop spraying within the old Soviet Union |
