OV-104 (cn OV-104) The last slide of the one and only slide camera at the last space shuttle launch. I put a Minolta X-700:50mm lens & Fuji Velvia 50 (F/8@1/1000) on the pad. Secured to the ground with six 9 inch stakes and three 30 lb sandbags at each leg of the tripod. Camera was fired by the sound of the main engine start and shot all 36 frames with this being the last complete frame. Despite being a dull overcast day, the film captured a better dynamic range than digital hence resulting in richer color prints. |

It was the highlight of my trip, and left me speechless in the minutes following the landing. |

9V-SKJ (cn 045) SQ 12 from Narita was running about 95 minutes late today. The lunch crowd at the In N Out didn't mind as they were treated to a sight rarely seen in the afternoon.... a beautiful 380 passing by. Singapore has been operating 380 equipment on this route for only a month now, starting back on July 1st. Finally... how can you beat a good burger, fries, and a 380! The best combo in town. Local time 14:44PDT. |

VH-EBQ (cn 1198) For me it's difficult to sleep during a flight.. So, instead I was stargazing and noticed the milky way band out of my window as we were passing Australia en route Auckland. Notice how the slats reflect off some stars. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm glad i didn't sleep!
