N968DL (cn 53161/1808) DL 1859 to DTW is taking off from Logan's runway 9 on a gloomy, foggy evening. Periodic snow and rain showers resulted in a high degree of condensation which turned the lights of all the planes into light beams. The position of the wing and the lights on the MD-88 almost make it look like an X-Wing firing its lasers! Crazy day. Never seen anything like that before. Normally in these weather conditions it is time to pack up and head home. But when you are on assignment, you have to wait it out.
