G-EZDK (cn 3555) Deparing on RWY08 onboard EZY8871 to AMS on a beautiful summers morning showing the North Terminal at LGW, which is home to BA, Thomson Airways and half of easyJet's services, including my flight today. In the distance the Surrey Hills can be seen. Thanks to the great crew on todays flight who, despite the early departure were full of banter that made the flight really fun for me.

Taking off from 08R affords a good view of Gatwick from the air. This photo shows the pier 6 bridge, much of the North terminal as well as a range of charter and scheduled traffic at the remote stands of the South terminal; although the airport itself is in West Sussex, the countryside visable behind the airport is actually in Surrey

N193DN (cn 28450/671) That morning we were instructed to join the hold over OCK (Ockham) for ten minutes delay. Just when turning outbound this B767 came out of the dark clouds 1000 feet below us.
